My father was diagnosed with bladder cancer and had a full bladder removal and has been struggling with the change out process due to his arthritis. He lives in the Acme/Williamsburg area.2Like5

We’ll have the following streets blocked off: Sixteenth St, between Veterans Dr and Pine St, and into Arnold Court between Sixteenth St and Seventeenth St. Schedule of festivities: •2:00pm Kick Off! •2-3pm: Live Music •3-4pm: Stream music •2:30pm Anywhere Ice Cream Truck arrives via Arnold Ct (stays 1.5 hours) •2:45pm Welcoming Remarks from FNA Board co-chairs •3:00pm Bike Parade •4-5pm Live Music •5-6pm: Stream music FNA is providing: •Grilled hot dogs, burgers and a vegetarian option •Plates, napkins and plasticware •Tables •Live music from our neighbors •Kids activities What you should bring: •Chairs (we’ll provide some, but bring one if you like) or picnic blankets •BYOB (bring your own beverage) •Potluck item (encouraged, but not required) and utensils for serving •A friend! Perfect for a kid who is looking to make a little extra summer money. :) They are located on Dock road near Peaceful Valley neighborhood.3Like19

We have a new neighborhood association, and our first block party is next Saturday, 6/15. There are many ways to participate with this group: facebook, Linked-In, Fernwoodtc.org. This is a great way to meet neighbors, gather as a community about our community, learn what's happening in your little corner, and more. This email went out yesterday: 1 Week to Go! There’s just one week left until the inaugural Fernwood Neighborhood Block Party! If you haven’t already, make sure to RSVP here, and spread the word to your friends, family, and fellow neighbors . Here’s all you need to know: WHERE AND WHEN: Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 2-6 pm Sixteenth St, between Veterans Drive and Pine St, and into Arnold Court between Sixteenth St and Seventeenth St. See map: BIKE PARADE! Dress up your bike with ribbons, glitz, and glam. The bike parade will take place at 3pm. Kids (and grown ups) are encouraged to bring their bikes and show them off. There will be prizes!
