School Age LeadSalary Range: $13.00 to $17.00/hr. Placement in this range is dependent on professional development levels for education and training. Additional incentives may be available for special duty assignment(s).

Fulltime time straight shift M-F 8AM - 5PM position for summer and split shift during the school year M-F 7-9AM AND 2-6PMResponsibilities

• Homework assistance in one-on-one and small group settings; check work and ensure completion if possible
• Responsible for the care and supervision of the children in the classroom- build rapport, classroom management
• Plan and implement engaging age-appropriate lesson plans for classroom activities and clubs.
• Parent engagement and communication
• Manage a classroom environment that is fun and engaging
• Maintain documentation for services provided, progress reports and attendance
• Work as part of a team with other staff and director to plan themes
• May be required to assist with center transportation plans

Qualifications

• Career Pathway Level in OCCRRA is at minimum Level 1
• Experience in a classroom setting and with children preferred
• Willingness to update job knowledge with required ODJFS Licensing Rules and SUTQ professional development opportunities and industry trends
• Demonstrate cross cultural competency while working with Horizon's diverse population.

School Age Driver-Professional driving experience preferred but willing to train the right person. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be willing and able to drive a 14-passenger mini school bus and a 6-passenger minivan. No CDL is required. Must be 21 years of age to drive Horizon vehicles. You will be trained to safely transport children to and from local schools and field trips in the summer. This is a combination of working in the classroom, monitoring children on field trips, and driving the mini-bus. Pay is $14-15 per hour. During the school year part-time driver split-shift position, hours are typically 7a-9a and 2p- 6p Monday through Friday which is a combination of driving and working in the classroom with the children. Full-time hours are expected during the summer to help take children on field trips and monitor them during the trip and in the classrooms.
